Meterza
Last updated 2 September 2026
The short version: Meterza has no servers and no accounts. Every tenant, meter reading and setting you enter stays in an app-private database on your own phone. We never receive it. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which serves the ads that keep the app free.
Meterza is a free Android app that helps landlords record electricity and water meter readings, calculate tenant bills, and keep a history of past readings. Questions about this policy can be sent to lonpdzon@gmail.com.
Meterza stores the information you type into it — tenant names, room or unit labels, phone numbers, notes, meter serial numbers, meter readings and utility rates — in a database that belongs to the app on your device. This information is not transmitted to us, because there is no Meterza server to transmit it to. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you if it is lost.
Meterza can export your records to a backup file. Creating that file is always something you start, and you choose where it goes — Google Drive, a messaging app, email, or your phone's storage. Once you send it somewhere, that destination's own privacy policy applies. Meterza does not upload backups anywhere on its own.
Meterza is free and supported by advertising through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, and interactions with the ads shown. This processing is carried out by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's privacy policy.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, which also lets you opt out of personalised advertising.
Meterza requests internet access, which is used only to load advertisements. It does not need access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or location.
Meterza is intended for landlords and property managers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Because your records live only on your device, uninstalling Meterza — or clearing its data under Settings → Apps → Meterza → Storage — permanently removes all of them. See our data deletion page for details.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Continuing to use Meterza after a change means you accept the updated policy.
