The short version: Meterza is a free record-keeping tool. It helps you calculate bills, but the numbers you bill your tenants are your responsibility, and your records live only on your phone — so keep backups.

Accepting these terms

By installing or using Meterza you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

What Meterza is

Meterza is a free Android app for recording electricity and water meter readings, calculating consumption and amounts owed, and keeping a history of past readings. It is a record-keeping and calculation aid. It is not a billing service, a payment processor, an accounting system, or a metering authority, and it does not verify that the readings or rates you enter are correct.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the meter readings, rates and tenant details you enter.
You are responsible for any amounts you bill or collect from your tenants. Figures produced by Meterza are calculations based on what you entered, and you should check them before relying on them.
You are responsible for complying with the laws and tenancy rules that apply where your property is.
You are responsible for keeping backups of your records.

Your data and backups

Meterza stores everything on your device and nowhere else. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, resetting the phone, or losing the phone will permanently destroy your records. There is no server-side copy, so we cannot restore anything for you. The app includes a backup feature, and we strongly recommend using it regularly.

Advertising

Meterza is free and supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob. We do not control which ads are shown and are not responsible for the content of advertisements or the products and services they promote.

No warranty

Meterza is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will suit every situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of your use of or inability to use Meterza — including disputes with tenants, billing errors, or records lost from your device.

Changes to the app and these terms

We may update, change, or discontinue Meterza or any of its features at any time. If these terms change, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
